Growing up, I played hockey in the Midwest Elite Hockey League AAA throughout Ohio and Michigan. Playing with and against some of the finest players in the nation for our age. This sport has taught me to work hard, how to sacrifice for the greater good and the meaning of persistence. During my senior year of High School, I decided to stop pursuing a career in hockey and focus on pursuing my education. Early on I knew I wanted to become a lawyer. To use my knowledge to educate those around and to help those in need.

Throughout my undergraduate and graduate school, I maintained a job to help pay for schooling and housing. On top of working, I volunteer for opportunities such as teaching youth hockey, working with non-profits, being a member of student organizations, and interning for a law office and clinics.

"[k]nowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives."
